| Being the only hispanic person in a household doesn't make someone the maid. Remember that.

| Things that make me cry:
Watching oprah
Hurting animals
Gas prices
Penguins in captivity
Finishing a great book
Sad girlie movies....that's a given
I've recently discovered the wonders of Amazon.com. I can lounge around in my jammies reading reviews of books, order them for less than their regular price at borders, and have them sent to my home! They even offer recommendations of books they think I might enjoy! Whoever came up with this fabulous idea deserves to have statues built in their honor. | | |
| I finally understand the meaning behind all those I (insert heart here) NY shirts. I really do (insert heart here) it. I never thought I could love a city more than I love San Francisco, but I do! The people, the atmosphere, the sights, it all blew me away-I almost didn't come home. I really wish I had applied to schools in the city instead settling for boring old San Francisco. I'll probably regret that deciscion for the rest of my life, or at least until I graduate and move.

| Today I realized I've inherited my mother's shopping gene. This
particular gene allows you to shop without looking at a price tag and
buy something which one has no discernable use for. Instead of
inheriting the green eyed gene, the "really tall for a mexican" gene
(yes, that is its scientific name), or the big butt gene, I've
inherited the shopaholic gene. Thanks mom!

| Ever notice how when you really need help, I mean
REALLY need help, finding something in a store there is no one around?
When one is broke and just feels the need to gawk and play with
everything she can't have there are at least 3 people trying make a
deal. But of course when you actually have the money (okay -a debit
card-you caught me) all the bitches at the counter are playing with lip
gloss and refusing to make eye contact . I literally had to slide, yes
slide, up to a lady who was walking right past me and force her to
help. I don't slide, I've been known to dip, but no sliding.
